'De Luxemburgers komen'. This is the title of an actual exhibtion at the Galerie bij den
Boeken in Ulft (NL). François Besch shows some street life impressions from Luxembourg-City, realized in the years 2011-2017 with the Hipstamatic app for iPhones.
Other participating artists are Carine Kraus, Jean-Claude Berens, Luc Ewen, Nathalie Noé Adam and Marie-Pierre Speltz.
The exhibition runs until june 25 and is open to the public from mondays through fridays from 10 am - 6 pm.
François Besch's photographic
work is complex and multi-faceted. In his nature and landscape shots, his primary interest is in conveying feelings or moods, creating visual poetry. François Besch has also applied himself to
portrait, street and experimental photography since the 1980s.
In march 2017 the artist was awarded the 'Monika von Boch-Price for Photography'.
François Besch began his artistic career already as an adolescent. He participated in national and international exhibitions through the late 1970s and the 1980s before turning toward art photography. Today, he is combining photography, painting and sculpture to create a unique kind of art.
